Jesusrepliedand said,"A manwas going downfrom Jerusalemto Jericho,and fell amongrobbers,and they strippedhim and beathim, and went awayleavinghim half dead.
I am reckonedamongthose who godownto the pit;I havebecomelike a manwithoutstrength,
"Thereforebehold,the daysare coming,"declaresthe LORD,"When I will punishher idols,And the mortallywoundedwill groanthroughouther land.
They sayto their mothers,"Whereis grainand wine?"As they faintlike a woundedmanIn the streetsof the city,As their lifeis pouredout On their mothers'bosom.
For I will strengthenthe armsof the kingof Babylonand putMy swordin his hand;and I will breakthe armsof Pharaoh,so that he will groanbeforehim with the groaningsof a woundedman.
"And by chancea priestwas going downon that road,and when he sawhim, he passed by on the other side.
ThenHe tookthe twelveasideand saidto them, "Behold,we are goingup to Jerusalem,and all thingswhich are writtenthroughthe prophetsabout the Sonof Manwill be accomplished.
After He had saidthese things,He was goingon ahead,goingup to Jerusalem.
