The angelansweredand saidto her, "The HolySpiritwill comeupon you, and the powerof the Most Highwill overshadowyou; and for that reasonthe holyChildshall be calledthe Sonof God.
"Whocan makethe cleanout of the unclean?Noone!
Howmuchlessone who is detestableand corrupt,Man,who drinksiniquitylike water!
"Howthen can a manbe justwith God?Or howcan he be cleanwho is bornof woman?
"I will surelytellof the decreeof the LORD:He saidto Me, 'You are My Son,TodayI have begottenYou.
Behold,I was broughtforthin iniquity,And in sinmy motherconceivedme.
Nowthe birthof JesusChristwas as follows:when His motherMaryhad been betrothedto Joseph,beforethey came togethershe was foundto be with childby the HolySpirit.
But when he had consideredthis,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto him in a dream,saying,"Joseph,sonof David,do not be afraidto takeMaryas your wife;for the Child whohas been conceivedin her is of the HolySpirit.
And thosewho were in the boatworshipedHim, saying,"You are certainlyGod'sSon!"
Nowthe centurion,and thosewho were with him keeping guard overJesus,when they sawthe earthquakeand the things that were happening,became veryfrightenedand said,"Trulythiswas the Sonof God!"
And the temptercameand saidto Him, "IfYou are the Sonof God,commandthat thesestonesbecomebread."

Marysaidto the angel,"Howcan thisbe, sinceI am a virgin?"
"And behold,evenyour relativeElizabethhas alsoconceiveda sonin her old age;and she who was calledbarrenis now in her sixthmonth.

NathanaelansweredHim, "Rabbi,You are the Sonof God;You are the Kingof Israel."
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
As they wentalongthe roadthey cameto somewater;and the eunuchsaid,"Look!Water!Whatpreventsme from being baptized?"
who was declaredthe Sonof Godwith powerby the resurrectionfrom the dead,accordingto the Spiritof holiness,JesusChristour Lord,

For we do not havea high priestwhocannotsympathizewith our weaknesses,but One whohas been temptedin all thingsas [we are, yet] withoutsin.
