He then with his purchasershall calculatefrom the yearwhen he soldhimself to him up to the yearof jubilee;and the priceof his saleshall correspondto the numberof years.[It is] like the daysof a hiredman[that] he shall be with him.
"TurnYour gazefrom him that he may rest,Untilhe fulfillshis daylike a hiredman.
But nowthe LORDspeaks,saying,"Within threeyears,as a hiredmanwould countthem, the gloryof Moabwill be degradedalong with all[his] greatpopulation,and [his] remnantwill be verysmall[and] impotent."
For thusthe Lordsaidto me, "In a year,as a hiredmanwould countit, allthe splendorof Kedarwill terminate;
But ifhe has not foundsufficientmeansto getit backfor himself, then whathe has soldshall remainin the handsof its purchaseruntilthe yearof jubilee;but at the jubileeit shall revert,that he may returnto his property.
He shall be with you as a hiredman,as if he were a sojourner;he shall servewith you untilthe yearof jubilee.
orhis uncle,orhis uncle'sson,may redeemhim, orone of his bloodrelativesfrom his familymay redeemhim; orif he prospers,he may redeemhimself.
Ifthere are stillmanyyears,he shall refundpart of his purchasepricein proportionto them for his own redemption;
Like a manhiredyearby yearhe shall be with him; he shall not ruleover him with severityin your sight.
"It shall not seemhardto you when you sethim free,for he has givenyou sixyears[with] doublethe serviceof a hiredman;so the LORDyour Godwill blessyou in whateveryou do.
