Likewise, the shaphan,for though it chewscud,it does not dividethe hoof,it is uncleanto you;

The highmountainsare for the wildgoats;The cliffsare a refugefor the shephanim.
The shephanimare not mightypeople,Yet they maketheir housesin the rocks;
Whateverdividesa hoof,thus makingsplithoofs,[and] chewsthe cud,among the animals,that you may eat.
Nevertheless,you are not to eatof these,among those which chewthe cud,or among those which dividethe hoof:the camel,for though it chewscud,it does not dividethe hoof,it is uncleanto you.
