Whateverdividesa hoof,thus makingsplithoofs,[and] chewsthe cud,among the animals,that you may eat.
For wisdomwill enteryour heartAnd knowledgewill be pleasantto your soul;
"Forsake[your] follyand live,And proceedin the wayof understanding."
"Speakto the sonsof Israel,saying,Theseare the creatureswhichyou may eatfrom allthe animalsthat are on the earth.
Concerning allthe animalswhichdividethe hoofbut do not makea split[hoof], or which do not chewcud,they are uncleanto you: whoevertouchesthem becomesunclean.
Nevertheless,you are not to eatof these,among those which chewthe cud,or among those which dividethe hoof:the camel,for though it chewscud,it does not dividethe hoof,it is uncleanto you.
Likewise, the shaphan,for though it chewscud,it does not dividethe hoof,it is uncleanto you;
the rabbitalso, for though it chewscud,it does not dividethe hoof,it is uncleanto you;
and the pig,for though it dividesthe hoof,thus makinga splithoof,it does not chewcud,it is uncleanto you.
Nowthesewere more noble-mindedthan thosein Thessalonica,for they receivedthe wordwith greateagerness,examiningthe Scripturesdaily[to see] whetherthese thingswere so.
"Therefore,COMEOUT FROM THEIR MIDSTAND BE SEPARATE,"saysthe Lord."AND DO NOT TOUCHWHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcomeyou.
"Anyanimalthat dividesthe hoofand hasthe hoofsplitin two[and] chewsthe cud,among the animals,that you may eat.
"The pig,becauseit dividesthe hoofbut [does] not [chew] the cud,it is uncleanfor you. You shall not eatanyof their fleshnortouchtheir carcasses.
Take painswith these things;be [absorbed] in them, sothat your progresswill be evidentto all.
