But he saidto them, "Whathave I donenowin comparison with you? Is not the gleaning[of the grapes] of Ephraimbetterthanthe vintageof Abiezer?
Now when you reapthe harvestof your land,you shall not reapto the very cornersof your field,norshall you gatherthe gleaningsof your harvest.
Theseare the sonsof Gilead:[of] Iezer,the familyof the Iezerites;of Helek,the familyof the Helekites;
Then the angelof the LORDcameand satunderthe oakthat was in Ophrah,whichbelonged to Joashthe Abiezriteas his sonGideonwas beatingout wheatin the winepressin order to save[it] from the Midianites.
So the Spiritof the LORDcameupon Gideon;and he blewa trumpet,and the Abiezriteswere calledtogetherto followhim.
Then the menof Ephraimsaidto him, "Whatis thisthingyou have doneto us, not callingus whenyou wentto fightagainst Midian?"And they contendedwith him vigorously.
"Godhas giventhe leadersof Midian,Oreband Zeebinto your hands;and whatwas I ableto doin comparison with you?" Thentheir angertowardhim subsidedwhen he saidthat.
