When Gideonheardthe accountof the dreamand its interpretation,he bowedin worship.He returnedto the campof Israeland said,"Arise,for the LORDhas giventhe campof Midianinto your hands."
"And I bowedlowand worshipedthe LORD,and blessedthe LORD,the Godof my masterAbraham,whohad guidedme in the rightwayto takethe daughterof my master'skinsmanfor his son.
Then they saidto him, "We have hada dreamand thereis nooneto interpretit." Then Josephsaidto them, "Do not interpretationsbelong to God?Tell[it] to me, please."
"We hada dreamon the samenight,he and I; eachof us dreamedaccording to the interpretationof his [own] dream.
He saidto them, "Pursue[them], for the LORDhas givenyour enemiesthe Moabitesinto your hands."So they wentdownafterhim and seizedthe fordsof the Jordanopposite Moab,and did not allowanyoneto cross.
Deborahsaidto Barak,"Arise!For thisis the dayin whichthe LORDhas givenSiserainto your hands;behold,the LORDhas goneout beforeyou." So Barakwentdownfrom MountTaborwith tenthousandmenfollowinghim.
and you will hearwhatthey say;and afterwardyour handswill be strengthenedthat you may godownagainst the camp."So he wentwith Purahhis servantdownto the outpostsof the armythat was in the camp.
His friendreplied,"Thisis nothinglessthanthe swordof Gideonthe sonof Joash,a manof Israel;Godhas givenMidianand allthe campinto his hand."
He dividedthe 300meninto threecompanies,and he puttrumpetsand emptypitchersinto the handsof allof them, with torchesinsidethe pitchers.
Gideonsaid,"All right,when the LORDhas givenZebahand Zalmunnainto my hand,then I will thrashyour bodieswith the thornsof the wildernessand with briers."
"So I have alsodedicatedhim to the LORD;as longas he liveshe is dedicatedto the LORD."And he worshipedthe LORDthere.
So the menof the garrisonhailedJonathanand his armorbearerand said,"Comeup to us and we will tellyou something."And Jonathansaidto his armorbearer,"Comeup afterme, for the LORDhas giventhem into the handsof Israel."
