Now in Gibeon,[Jeiel], the fatherof Gibeonlived,and his wife'snamewas Maacah;
the sonsof Ramahand Geba,621;
Hazor,Ramah,Gittaim,
They have gonethroughthe pass,[saying], "Gebawill be our lodgingplace."Ramahis terrified,and Gibeahof Saulhas fledaway.
For the LORDwill riseup as [at] MountPerazim,He will be stirredup as in the valleyof Gibeon,To doHis task,His unusualtask,And to workHis work,His extraordinarywork.
Thussaysthe LORD,"A voiceis heardin Ramah,Lamentation[and] bitterweeping.Rachelis weepingfor her children;She refusesto be comfortedfor her children,Becausethey are nomore."
When it was evening,there camea richmanfrom Arimathea,namedJoseph,whohimselfhad alsobecome a discipleof Jesus.
that he fearedgreatly,becauseGibeon[was] a greatcity,like oneof the royalcities,and becauseit was greaterthanAi,and allits men[were] mighty.

He broughtthe familyof Judahnear,and he tookthe familyof the Zerahites;and he broughtthe familyof the Zerahitesnearmanby man,and Zabdiwas taken.
Then the sonsof Israelsetout and cameto their citieson the thirdday.Now their cities[were] Gibeonand Chephirahand Beerothand Kiriath-jearim.
When the inhabitantsof GibeonheardwhatJoshuahad doneto Jerichoand to Ai,
However, his mastersaidto him, "We will not turnasideinto the cityof foreignerswhoare not of the sonsof Israel;but we will goon as faras Gibeah."
He saidto his servant,"Comeand let us approachoneof these places;and we will spendthe nightin GibeahorRamah."
Now therewas a certainmanfrom Ramathaim-zophimfrom the hillcountryof Ephraim,and his namewas Elkanahthe sonof Jeroham,the sonof Elihu,the sonof Tohu,the sonof Zuph,an Ephraimite.
Then they aroseearlyin the morningand worshipedbeforethe LORD,and returnedagainto their housein Ramah.And Elkanahhadrelationswith Hannahhis wife,and the LORDrememberedher.
