So they hiredfor themselves 32,000chariots,and the kingof Maacahand his people,who cameand campedbeforeMedeba.And the sonsof Ammongatheredtogether from their citiesand cameto battle.
Now as for the villageswith their fields,someof the sonsof Judahlivedin Kiriath-arbaand its towns,in Dibonand its towns,and in Jekabzeeland its villages,
They have goneup to the templeand [to] Dibon,[even] to the highplacesto weep.MoabwailsoverNeboand Medeba;Everyone'sheadis bald[and] everybeardis cutoff.

Sihonkingof the Amorites,who livedin Heshbon,[and] ruledfrom Aroer,whichis on the edgeof the valleyof the Arnon,both the middleof the valleyand halfof Gilead,even as faras the brookJabbok,the borderof the sonsof Ammon;
and allthe citiesof Sihonkingof the Amorites,whoreignedin Heshbon,as faras the borderof the sonsof Ammon;

With the other half-tribe, the Reubenitesand the Gaditesreceivedtheir inheritancewhichMosesgavethem beyondthe Jordanto the east,justas Mosesthe servantof the LORDgaveto them;
