Sowhenthe Samaritanscameto Jesus, they were askingHim to staywith them; and He stayedtheretwodays.
Then he said,"Letme go,for the dawnis breaking."But he said,"I will not letyou gounlessyou blessme."
Takeholdof instruction;do not letgo.Guardher, for she is your life.
"Scarcelyhad I leftthem WhenI foundhim whommy soulloves;I heldon to him and would not lethim goUntilI had broughthim to my mother'shouse,And into the roomof her who conceivedme."
"O Hopeof Israel,Its Saviorin timeof distress,Whyare You like a strangerin the landOr like a travelerwho has pitchedhis [tent] for the night?
She hada sistercalledMary,whowas seatedat the Lord'sfeet,listeningto His word.
But they urgedHim, saying,"Staywith us, for it is [getting] towardevening,and the dayis nownearly over."SoHe wentin to staywith them.
But the manfrom whomthe demonshad goneout was beggingHim that he might accompanyHim; but He sent him away,saying,
From that citymanyof the Samaritansbelievedin Him becauseof the wordof the womanwho testified,"He toldme all the thingsthat I [have] done."
Many morebelievedbecauseof His word;
Afterthe twodaysHe went forthfrom thereinto Galilee.
And whenshe and her householdhad been baptized,she urgedus, saying,"Ifyou have judgedme to be faithfulto the Lord,comeinto my houseand stay."And she prevailedupon us.
Sothere was muchrejoicingin that city.
Behold,I standat the doorand knock;ifanyonehearsMy voiceand opensthe door,I will comein to him and will dinewith him, and he with Me.
