"Thisis eternallife,that they may knowYou, the onlytrue God,and JesusChristwhomYou have sent.
"As for you, my sonSolomon,knowthe Godof your father,and serveHim with a wholeheartand a willingmind;for the LORDsearchesallhearts,and understandseveryintentof the thoughts.Ifyou seekHim, He will let you findHim; but ifyou forsakeHim, He will rejectyou forever.
"For manydaysIsraelwas withoutthe true Godand withouta teachingpriestand withoutlaw.
And those who knowYour namewill puttheir trustin You, For You, O LORD,have not forsakenthose who seekYou.
"For he who findsme findslifeAnd obtainsfavorfrom the LORD.
"Comenearto Me, listento this:From the firstI have not spokenin secret,From the timeit tookplace,I was there.And nowthe LordGODhas sentMe, and His Spirit."
As a resultof the anguishof His soul,He will see[it and] be satisfied;By His knowledgethe RighteousOne,My Servant,will justifythe many,As He will beartheir iniquities.
The Spiritof the LordGODis upon me, Becausethe LORDhas anointedme To bringgood newsto the afflicted;He has sentme to bindup the brokenhearted,To proclaimlibertyto captivesAnd freedomto prisoners;
But the LORDis the true God;He is the livingGodand the everlastingKing.At His wraththe earthquakes,And the nationscannotendureHis indignation.
"So let us know,let us presson to knowthe LORD.His goingforthis as certainas the dawn;And He will cometo us like the rain,Like the springrainwateringthe earth."
"Whoeverreceivesonechildlike thisin My namereceivesMe; and whoeverreceivesMe does not receiveMe, but Him who sentMe."
and saidto them, "Whoeverreceivesthischildin My namereceivesMe, and whoeverreceivesMe receivesHim who sentMe; for the onewho is leastamongallof you, thisis the one who is great."
do you sayof Him, whomthe Fathersanctifiedand sentinto the world,'You are blaspheming,'becauseI said,I amthe Sonof God'?
"I knewthat You alwayshearMe; but becauseof the peoplestanding aroundI saidit, sothat they may believethat You sentMe."
"But the Helper,the HolySpirit,whomthe Fatherwill sendin My name,He will teachyou allthings,and bring to your remembranceallthat I saidto you.
"As You sentMe into the world,I alsohave sentthem into the world.
that they may allbe one;evenas You, Father,[are] in Me and I in You, that they alsomay be in Us, sothat the worldmay believethat You sentMe.
I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfectedin unity,sothat the worldmay knowthat You sentMe, and lovedthem, evenas You have lovedMe.
"O righteousFather,althoughthe worldhas not knownYou, yetI have knownYou; and thesehave knownthat You sentMe;
for the wordswhichYou gaveMe I have givento them; and they received[them] and trulyunderstoodthat I came forthfrom You, and they believedthat You sentMe.
"For Goddid not sendthe Soninto the worldto judgethe world,but that the worldmight be savedthroughHim.
"For He whomGodhas sentspeaksthe wordsof God;for He givesthe Spiritwithoutmeasure.
"Howcanyou believe,when you receivegloryfrom one anotherand you do not seekthe glorythat is from the [one and] onlyGod?
"As the livingFathersentMe, and I livebecauseof the Father,sohe who eatsMe, he alsowill livebecauseof Me.
"I knowHim, becauseI amfrom Him, and He sentMe."
Sothey were sayingto Him, "Whereis Your Father?"Jesusanswered,"You knowneitherMe norMy Father;ifyou knew Me, you would knowMy Fatheralso."
Become sober-mindedas you ought,and stopsinning;for somehaveno knowledgeof God.I speak[this] to your shame.
Thereforeconcerningthe eatingof things sacrificed to idols,we knowthat there is nosuch thingas an idolin the world,and that there is noGodbut one.
For God,who said,"Lightshall shineout of darkness,"is the One whohas shonein our heartsto give the Lightof the knowledgeof the gloryof Godin the faceof Christ.
that I may knowHim and the powerof His resurrectionand the fellowshipof His sufferings,being conformedto His death;
More thanthat, I countallthingsto be lossin viewof the surpassing valueof knowingChristJesusmy Lord,for whomI have suffered the lossof all things,and countthem but rubbishsothat I may gainChrist,
For they themselvesreportaboutus what kindof a receptionwe hadwith you, and howyou turnedto Godfrom idolsto servea livingand true God,
dealingout retributionto thosewho do not knowGodand to thosewho do not obeythe gospelof our LordJesus.
Therefore,holybrethren,partakersof a heavenlycalling,considerJesus,the Apostleand High Priestof our confession;
Graceand peacebe multipliedto you in the knowledgeof Godand of Jesusour Lord;
seeingthat His divinepowerhas grantedto us everythingpertainingto lifeand godliness,throughthe true knowledgeof Him who calledus by His owngloryand excellence.
For if these[qualities] are yoursand are increasing,they renderyou neitheruselessnorunfruitfulin the true knowledgeof our LordJesusChrist.
and the lifewas manifested,and we have seenand testifyand proclaimto you the eternallife,whichwas with the Fatherand was manifestedto us--
whatwe have seenand heardwe proclaimto you also,sothat you toomay havefellowshipwith us; and indeedour fellowshipis with the Father,and with His SonJesusChrist.
Whoeverdeniesthe Sondoes not havethe Father;the one who confessesthe Sonhasthe Fatheralso.
We are from God;he who knowsGodlistensto us; he whois not from Goddoes not listento us. By thiswe knowthe spiritof truthand the spiritof error.
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
