The man who had diedcame forth,boundhandand footwith wrappings,and his facewas wrapped aroundwith a cloth.Jesussaidto them, "Unbindhim, and lethim go."
Then Godsaid,"Let there be light";and there was light.
For He spoke,and it was done;He commanded,and it stoodfast.
Shall I ransomthem from the powerof Sheol?Shall I redeemthem from death?O Death,whereare your thorns?O Sheol,whereis your sting?Compassionwill be hiddenfrom My sight.
And He gavethem strictordersthat no oneshould knowabout this,and He saidthat [something] should be givenher to eat.
"Anothercame,saying,'Master,hereis your mina,whichI keptput awayin a handkerchief;
The dead mansatup and beganto speak.And [Jesus] gavehim back to his mother.
"I and the Fatherare one."
Jesussaid,"Removethe stone."Martha,the sisterof the deceased,saidto Him, "Lord,by this timethere will be a stench,for he has been[dead] four days."
When He had saidthese things,He criedout with a loudvoice,"Lazarus,comeforth."
Sothey tookthe bodyof Jesusand boundit in linen wrappingswith the spices,as is the burialcustomof the Jews.
and stooping and lookingin, he sawthe linen wrappingslying[there]; but he did not goin.
and the face-clothwhichhad beenon His head,not lyingwith the linen wrappings,but rolledup in a placeby itself.
"For justas the Fatherraisesthe deadand givesthem life,evensothe Sonalsogives lifeto whomHe wishes.
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, an houris comingand nowis, whenthe deadwill hearthe voiceof the Sonof God,and thosewho hearwill live.
whowill transformthe bodyof our humble stateinto conformitywith the bodyof His glory,by the exertionof the power that He hasevento subjectall thingsto Himself.
and the livingOne; and I was dead,and behold,I amaliveforevermore,and I havethe keysof deathand of Hades.
"The LORDkillsand makesalive;He bringsdownto Sheoland raisesup.
