In Him was life,and the lifewas the Lightof men.
ThenJesusagainspoketo them, saying,"I amthe Lightof the world;he who followsMe will not walkin the darkness,but will havethe Lightof life."
"I have come[as] Lightinto the world,sothat everyonewho believesin Me will not remainin darkness.
"For justas the Fatherhaslifein Himself,evensoHe gaveto the Sonalsoto havelifein Himself;
"WhileI amin the world,I amthe Lightof the world."
Jesussaidto her, "I amthe resurrectionand the life;he who believesin Me will liveeven ifhe dies,
And the testimonyis this,that Godhas givenus eternallife,and thislifeis in His Son.
Jesussaidto him, "I amthe way,and the truth,and the life;no onecomesto the Fatherbut throughMe.
SoJesussaidto them, "For a littlewhilelongerthe Lightis amongyou. Walkwhileyou havethe Light,sothat darknesswill not overtakeyou; he who walksin the darknessdoes not knowwherehe goes.
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
"THE PEOPLEWHO WERE SITTINGIN DARKNESSSAWA GREATLIGHT,AND THOSEWHO WERE SITTINGIN THE LANDAND SHADOWOF DEATH,UPON THEM A LIGHTDAWNED."
WhenChrist,who is our life,is revealed,thenyou alsowill be revealedwith Him in glory.
"I will leadthe blindby a waythey do not know,In pathsthey do not knowI will guidethem. I will makedarknessinto lightbeforethem And ruggedplacesinto plains.Theseare the thingsI will do,And I will not leavethem undone."
that the Christwas to suffer,[and] that by reasonof [His] resurrectionfrom the deadHe wouldbe the firstto proclaimlightbothto the [Jewish] peopleand to the Gentiles."
A LIGHTOF REVELATIONTO THE GENTILES,And the gloryof Your peopleIsrael."
and the lifewas manifested,and we have seenand testifyand proclaimto you the eternallife,whichwas with the Fatherand was manifestedto us--

"I, Jesus,have sentMy angelto testifyto you these thingsfor the churches.I amthe rootand the descendantof David,the brightmorningstar."
For the LORDGodis a sunand shield;The LORDgivesgraceand glory;Nogoodthingdoes He withholdfrom those who walkuprightly.
"But for you who fearMy name,the sunof righteousnesswill risewith healingin its wings;and you will goforthand skipaboutlike calvesfrom the stall.
Soalsoit is written,"The firstMAN,Adam,BECAMEA LIVINGSOUL."The lastAdam[became] a life-givingspirit.
Thenhe showedme a riverof the waterof life,clearas crystal,comingfrom the throneof Godand of the Lamb,
Even those who trustin their wealthAnd boastin the abundanceof their riches?
"Thisis the judgment,that the Lighthas comeinto the world,and menlovedthe darknessratherthanthe Light,for their deedswere evil.
Whatwas from the beginning,whatwe have heard,whatwe have seenwith our eyes,whatwe have lookedat and touchedwith our hands,concerningthe Wordof Life--
