But as manyas receivedHim, to them He gavethe rightto becomechildrenof God,[even] to thosewho believein His name,
"For You have establishedfor Yourself Your peopleIsraelas Your own peopleforever,and You, O LORD,have becometheir God.
To them I will givein My houseand within My wallsa memorial,And a namebetterthanthat of sonsand daughters;I will givethem an everlastingnamewhichwill not be cutoff.
"Then I said,'HowI would setyou among My sonsAnd giveyou a pleasantland,The mostbeautifulinheritanceof the nations!'And I said,'You shall callMe, My Father,And not turnawayfrom followingMe.'
Yet the numberof the sonsof IsraelWill be like the sandof the sea,Whichcannotbe measuredor numbered;And in the placeWhereit is saidto them, "You are not My people,"It will be saidto them, "[You are] the sonsof the livingGod."
"He who receivesyou receivesMe, and he who receivesMe receivesHim who sentMe.
"AND IN HIS NAMETHE GENTILESWILL HOPE."
"And whoeverreceivesonesuchchildin My namereceivesMe;
He cameto His own,and thosewho were His owndid not receiveHim.
He cameas a witness,to testifyaboutthe Light,sothat allmight believethroughhim.
and not for the nationonly,but in orderthat He might alsogather togetherinto onethe childrenof Godwho are scattered abroad.
NowwhenHe was in Jerusalemat the Passover,duringthe feast,manybelievedin His name,observingHis signswhichHe was doing.
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
"He who believesin Him is not judged;he who does not believehas been judgedalready,becausehe has not believedin the nameof the only begottenSonof God.
"And on the basisof faithin His name,[it is] the nameof Jesus which has strengthenedthisman whomyou seeand know;and the faithwhich [comes] throughHim has givenhim thisperfect healthin the presenceof you all.
For all whoare being ledby the Spiritof God,theseare sonsof God.
The SpiritHimselftestifieswith our spiritthat we are childrenof God,
For the anxious longingof the creationwaits eagerlyfor the revealingof the sonsof God.
For you are allsonsof Godthroughfaithin ChristJesus.
Becauseyou are sons,Godhas sent forththe Spiritof His Soninto our hearts,crying,"Abba!Father!"
Thereforeas you have receivedChristJesusthe Lord,[so] walkin Him,
For by theseHe has grantedto us His preciousand magnificentpromises,sothat by them you may becomepartakersof [the] divinenature,having escapedthe corruptionthat is in the worldby lust.
Seehow greata lovethe Fatherhas bestowedon us, that we would be calledchildrenof God;and [such] we are. For thisreasonthe worlddoes not knowus, becauseit did not knowHim.
By thisthe childrenof Godand the childrenof the devilare obvious:anyonewho does not practicerighteousnessis not of God,northe one who does not lovehis brother.
Beloved,nowwe are childrenof God,and it has not appearedas yetwhatwe will be. We knowthat whenHe appears,we will be likeHim, becausewe will seeHim justas He is.
Thisis His commandment,that we believein the nameof His SonJesusChrist,and loveone another,justas He commandedus.
