"BecauseI calledand you refused,I stretchedout my handand noonepaidattention;
Becausethey hatedknowledgeAnd did not choosethe fearof the LORD.
He said,"Go,and tellthispeople:'Keepon listening,but do not perceive;Keepon looking,but do not understand.'
In the firstyearof Belshazzarkingof BabylonDanielsawa dreamand visionsin his mind[as he lay] on his bed;thenhe wrotethe dreamdown[and] relatedthe [following] summaryof it.
"In their case the prophecyof Isaiahis being fulfilled,which says,YOU WILL KEEPON HEARING,BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;YOU WILL KEEPON SEEING,BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
And He saidto them, "Ofoolish menand slowof heartto believein allthat the prophetshave spoken!
"Thisis the judgment,that the Lighthas comeinto the world,and menlovedthe darknessratherthanthe Light,for their deedswere evil.
