"He has nooffspringor posterityamong his people,Norany survivorwherehe sojourned.
"His sonsfavorthe poor,And his handsgivebackhis wealth.
"The lionperishesfor lackof prey,And the whelpsof the lionessare scattered.
Let his childrenwanderabout and beg;And let them seek[sustenance] far from their ruinedhomes.
Let his posteritybe cutoff;In a followinggenerationlet their namebe blottedout.
"For behold,the daysare comingwhenthey will say,Blessedare the barren,and the wombsthat neverbore,and the breaststhat nevernursed.'
"Your sonsand your daughtersshall be givento anotherpeople,while your eyeslookon and yearnfor them continually;but therewill be nothingyou can do.
