O God,shattertheir teethin their mouth;Breakout the fangsof the younglions,O LORD.
Ifthe serpentbitesbefore being charmed,thereis noprofitfor the charmer.
"Do not rejoice,O Philistia,allof you, Becausethe rodthat struckyou is broken;For from the serpent'sroota viperwill comeout, And its fruitwill be a flyingserpent.
As whena manfleesfrom a lionAnd a bearmeetshim, Or goeshome,leanshis handagainstthe wallAnd a snakebiteshim.
"Thoughthey hideon the summitof Carmel,I will searchthem out and takethem from there;And thoughthey concealthemselves from My sighton the floorof the sea,From thereI will commandthe serpentand it will bitethem.
The LORDsentfieryserpentsamong the peopleand they bitthe people,so that manypeopleof Israeldied.
[They will be] wastedby famine,and consumedby plagueAnd bitterdestruction;And the teethof beastsI will sendupon them, With the venomof crawlingthingsof the dust.
For the powerof the horsesis in their mouthsand in their tails;for their tailsare likeserpentsand haveheads,and with them they do harm.
