"At that time,"declaresthe LORD,"they will bringout the bonesof the kingsof Judahand the bonesof its princes,and the bonesof the priestsand the bonesof the prophets,and the bonesof the inhabitantsof Jerusalemfrom their graves.
He criedagainstthe altarby the wordof the LORD,and said,"O altar,altar,thussaysthe LORD,'Behold,a sonshall be bornto the houseof David,Josiahby name;and on you he shall sacrificethe priestsof the highplaceswho burnincenseon you, and humanbonesshall be burnedon you.'"
Now when Josiahturned,he sawthe gravesthat [were] thereon the mountain,and he sentand tookthe bonesfrom the gravesand burned[them] on the altarand defiledit according to the wordof the LORDwhichthe manof Godproclaimed,whoproclaimedthesethings.
Allthe priestsof the highplaceswho[were] therehe slaughteredon the altarsand burnedhumanboneson them; then he returnedto Jerusalem.
and the corpseof Jezebelwill be as dungon the faceof the fieldin the propertyof Jezreel,sothey cannotsay,"Thisis Jezebel."'"
Therethey were in greatfear[where] nofearhad been;For Godscatteredthe bonesof him who encampedagainst you; You put[them] to shame,becauseGodhad rejectedthem.
"The peoplealso to whomthey are prophesyingwill be thrownout into the streetsof Jerusalembecauseof the famineand the sword;and therewill be nooneto burythem-- [neither] them, [nor] their wives,northeir sons,northeir daughters--for I will pourout their [own] wickednesson them.
The handof the LORDwas upon me, and He broughtme out by the Spiritof the LORDand setme downin the middleof the valley;and it was fullof bones.
"So your altarswill becomedesolateand your incensealtarswill be smashed;and I will make your slainfallin frontof your idols.
"I will also laythe deadbodiesof the sonsof Israelin frontof their idols;and I will scatteryour bonesaroundyour altars.
Thussaysthe LORD,"For threetransgressionsof Moaband for fourI will not revokeits [punishment], Becausehe burnedthe bonesof the kingof Edomto lime.
