For the LORDlovesjusticeAnd does not forsakeHis godlyones;They are preservedforever,But the descendantsof the wickedwill be cutoff.
At eveningtime,behold,[there is] terror!Beforemorningthey are nomore.Such[will be] the portionof those who plunderus And the lotof those who pillageus.
"I will giveyou the treasuresof darknessAnd hiddenwealthof secretplaces,So that you may knowthat it is I, The LORD,the Godof Israel,who callsyou by your name.
"So I Myselfhave alsostrippedyour skirtsoffoveryour face,That your shamemay be seen.
"Can a manhidehimself in hidingplacesSo I do not seehim?" declaresthe LORD."Do I not fillthe heavensand the earth?"declaresthe LORD.
[The punishment] of your iniquityhas beencompleted,O daughterof Zion;He will exileyou nolonger.[But] He will punishyour iniquity,O daughterof Edom;He will exposeyour sins!
"Thoughthey hideon the summitof Carmel,I will searchthem out and takethem from there;And thoughthey concealthemselves from My sighton the floorof the sea,From thereI will commandthe serpentand it will bitethem.
"O howEsauwill be ransacked,[And] his hiddentreasuressearchedout!
"Then your mightymenwill be dismayed,O Teman,So that everyonemay be cutofffrom the mountainof Esauby slaughter.
Justas it is written,"JACOBI LOVED,BUT ESAUI HATED."
