So I have toldyou today,but you have not obeyedthe LORDyour God,even in whateverHe has sentme to [tell] you.
"So I gavethem overto the stubbornnessof their heart,To walkin their own devices.
But as soon as Jeremiah,whomthe LORDtheir Godhad sent,had finishedtellingallthe peopleallthe wordsof the LORDtheir God--that is, allthesewords--
So Johananthe sonof Kareahand allthe commandersof the forces,and allthe people,did not obeythe voiceof the LORDto stayin the landof Judah.
and they enteredthe landof Egypt(for they did not obeythe voiceof the LORD)and wentin as faras Tahpanhes.
"But you shall speakMy wordsto them whetherthey listenornot, for they are rebellious.
"Sonof man,I have appointedyou a watchmanto the houseof Israel;whenever you heara wordfrom My mouth,warnthem from Me.
"They cometo you as peoplecome,and sitbeforeyou [as] My peopleand hearyour words,but they do not dothem, for they dothe lustfuldesires[expressed] by their mouth,[and] their heartgoesaftertheir gain.
"Behold,you are to them like a sensualsongby one who has a beautifulvoiceand playswellon an instrument; for they hearyour wordsbut they do not practicethem.
howI did not shrinkfrom declaringto you anythingthat was profitable,and teachingyou publiclyand from house to house,
"It shall be when he hearsthe wordsof thiscurse,that he will boast,saying,'I havepeacethoughI walkin the stubbornnessof my heartin orderto destroythe watered[land] with the dry.'
"See,I have setbeforeyou todaylifeand prosperity,and deathand adversity;
"I callheavenand earthto witnessagainst you today,that I have setbeforeyou lifeand death,the blessingand the curse.So chooselifein orderthat you may live,you and your descendants,
