then the sword,whichyou are afraidof, will overtakeyou therein the landof Egypt;and the famine,about whichyou are anxious,will followcloselyafteryou there[in] Egypt,and you will diethere.
Adversitypursuessinners,But the righteouswill be rewardedwith prosperity.
"It will be, [that] the nationor the kingdomwhichwill not servehim, Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babylon,and whichwill not putits neckunder the yokeof the kingof Babylon,I will punishthat nationwith the sword,with famineand with pestilence,"declaresthe LORD,"untilI have destroyedit by his hand.

But ifyou are going to say,"We will not stayin thisland,"so as not to listento the voiceof the LORDyour God,
Behold,I am watchingoverthem for harmand not for good,and allthe menof Judahwhoare in the landof Egyptwill meettheir endby the swordand by famineuntilthey are completelygone.
"You have feareda sword;so I will bringa swordupon you," the LordGODdeclares.
"But did not My wordsand My statutes,whichI commandedMy servantsthe prophets,overtakeyour fathers?Then they repentedand said,As the LORDof hostspurposedto doto us in accordance with our waysand our deeds,soHe has dealtwith us.'"'"
"Ifwe letHim [go on] like this,all menwill believein Him, and the Romanswill comeand take awaybothour placeand our nation."
"But it shall comeabout, ifyou do not obeythe LORDyour God,to observeto doallHis commandmentsand His statuteswith whichI chargeyou today,that allthesecurseswill comeupon you and overtakeyou:
"The LORDwill smiteyou with consumptionand with feverand with inflammationand with fieryheatand with the swordand with blightand with mildew,and they will pursueyou untilyou perish.
"So allthesecursesshall comeon you and pursueyou and overtakeyou untilyou are destroyed,becauseyou would not obeythe LORDyour Godby keepingHis commandmentsand His statuteswhichHe commandedyou.
