Therewill be noendto the increaseof [His] governmentor of peace,On the throneof Davidand overhis kingdom,To establishit and to upholdit with justiceand righteousnessFrom thenon and forevermore.The zealof the LORDof hostswill accomplishthis.
Sayto the kingand the queenmother,"Takea lowlyseat,For your beautifulcrownHas comedownfrom your head."
and say,'Hearthe wordof the LORD,O kingsof Judahand inhabitantsof Jerusalem:thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"BeholdI am about to bringa calamityupon thisplace,at whichthe earsof everyonethat hearsof it will tingle.
Thussaysthe LORD,"Godownto the houseof the kingof Judah,and therespeakthisword
"For ifyou men will indeedperformthisthing,then kingswill enterthe gatesof thishouse,sittingin David'splace on his throne,ridingin chariotsand on horses,[even the king] himselfand his servantsand his people.
"You, therefore, hearthe wordof the LORD,allyou exiles,whomI have sentawayfrom Jerusalemto Babylon.
"Thussaysthe LORDGodof Israel,Goand speakto Zedekiahkingof Judahand sayto him: "Thussaysthe LORD,'Behold,I am givingthiscityinto the handof the kingof Babylon,and he will burnit with fire.
Thereforethussaysthe LORDconcerningJehoiakimkingof Judah,"He shall havenoone to siton the throneof David,and his deadbodyshall be castout to the heatof the dayand the frostof the night.
