But the salvationof the righteousis from the LORD;He is their strengthin timeof trouble.

You who know,O LORD,Rememberme, takenoticeof me, And takevengeancefor me on my persecutors.Do not, in view of Your patience,takeme away; Knowthat for Your sakeI endurereproach.
So Jeremiahstayedin the courtof the guardhouseuntilthe daythat Jerusalemwas captured.
Now Nebuchadnezzarkingof BabylongaveordersaboutJeremiahthroughNebuzaradanthe captainof the bodyguard,saying,
Do not be afraidof the kingof Babylon,whomyou are [now] fearing;do not be afraidof him,' declaresthe LORD,for I am with you to saveyou and deliveryou from his hand.
"I have madeyou an assayer[and] a testeramong My people,That you may knowand assaytheir way."
"Behold,I have madeyour faceas hardas their facesand your foreheadas hardas their foreheads.
"Like emeryharderthanflintI have madeyour forehead.Do not be afraidof them or be dismayedbeforethem, thoughthey are a rebellioushouse."
"Ifit be [so], our Godwhomwe serveis ableto deliverus from the furnaceof blazingfire;and He will deliverus out of your hand,O king.
