"Aska signfor yourself from the LORDyour God;make[it] deepas Sheolorhighas heaven."
Then he gavea signthe sameday,saying,"Thisis the signwhichthe LORDhas spoken,'Behold,the altarshall be splitapartand the asheswhichare on it shall be pouredout.'"
Then thisshall be the signfor you: you will eatthis yearwhatgrowsof itself, in the secondyearwhatspringsfrom the same, and in the thirdyearsow,reap,plantvineyards,and eattheir fruit.
"WhenPharaohspeaksto you, saying,Worka miracle,'then you shall sayto Aaron,Takeyour staffand throw[it] downbeforePharaoh,[that] it may becomea serpent.'"

Then Hezekiahhad said,"Whatis the signthat I shall goup to the houseof the LORD?"
"Insteadof the thornbushthe cypresswill comeup, And insteadof the nettlethe myrtlewill comeup, And it will be a memorialto the LORD,For an everlastingsignwhich will not be cutoff."
Then the LORDspokeagainto Ahaz,saying,
But Ahazsaid,"I will not ask,norwill I testthe LORD!"
Thussaysthe LORD,"Goand buya potter'searthenwarejar,and [take] someof the eldersof the peopleand someof the seniorpriests.
"Then you are to breakthe jarin the sightof the menwho accompanyyou
Thiswill be the signto you,' declaresthe LORD,'that I am going to punishyou in thisplace,sothat you may knowthat My wordswill surelystandagainstyou for harm.'
"This[will be] a signfor you: you will finda babywrapped in clothsand lyingin a manger."
