"Whowill contendwith me? For thenI would be silentand die.
You are near,O LORD,And allYour commandmentsare truth.
"For everybreachof trust,[whether it is] for ox,for donkey,for sheep,for clothing,[or] for anylostthingabout whichone says,'Thisis it,' the caseof bothparties shall comebeforethe judges;he whomthe judgescondemnshall paydoubleto his neighbor.
"Comenow,and let us reasontogether," Saysthe LORD,"Thoughyour sinsare as scarlet,They will be as whiteas snow;Thoughthey are redlike crimson,They will be like wool.
"Coastlands,listen to Me in silence,And let the peoplesgainnewstrength;Let them comeforward,thenlet them speak;Let us cometogetherfor judgment.
"Presentyour case,"the LORDsays."Bringforwardyour strong[arguments]," The Kingof Jacobsays.
"PutMe in remembrance,let us argueour casetogether;Stateyour [cause], that you may be provedright.
"In the LORDallthe offspringof IsraelWill be justifiedand will glory."
"Noweaponthat is formedagainstyou will prosper;And everytonguethat accusesyou in judgmentyou will condemn.Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,And their vindicationis from Me," declaresthe LORD.
"Make friendsquicklywith your opponentat lawwhileyou are with him on the way,sothat your opponentmay not handyou over to the judge,and the judgeto the officer,and you be throwninto prison.
then boththe menwhohave the disputeshall standbeforethe LORD,beforethe priestsand the judgeswhowill be [in office] in thosedays.
By common confession,greatis the mysteryof godliness:He whowas revealedin the flesh,Was vindicatedin the Spirit,Seenby angels,Proclaimedamongthe nations,Believedon in the world,Takenup in glory.
ThenI hearda loudvoicein heaven,saying,"Nowthe salvation,and the power,and the kingdomof our Godand the authorityof His Christhave come,for the accuserof our brethrenhas been throwndown, he who accusesthem beforeour Goddayand night.
