We do not seeour signs;Thereis nolongerany prophet,Noris there any amongus who knowshowlong.
The captainof fiftyand the honorableman, The counselorand the expertartisan,And the skillfulenchanter.
"Saynowto the rebellioushouse,Do you not knowwhatthesethings[mean]?' Say,'Behold,the kingof Babyloncameto Jerusalem,tookits kingand princesand broughtthem to him in Babylon.
He tookone of the royalfamilyand madea covenantwith him, puttinghim under oath.He also tookaway the mightyof the land,
Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,do you seewhatthe eldersof the houseof Israelare committingin the dark,eachmanin the roomof his carvedimages?For they say,The LORDdoes not seeus; the LORDhas forsakenthe land.'"
But to the othersHe saidin my hearing,"Gothrough the cityafterhim and strike;do not let your eyehavepityand do not spare.
"I will also cutoffthe judgefrom her midstAnd slayallher princeswith him," saysthe LORD.
