By faithwe understandthat the worldswere preparedby the wordof God,sothat what is seenwas not madeout of things which are visible.
In the beginningGodcreatedthe heavensand the earth.
By the wordof the LORDthe heavenswere made,And by the breathof His mouthalltheir host.
For He spoke,and it was done;He commanded,and it stoodfast.
Liftup your eyeson highAnd seewhohas createdthese[stars], The One who leadsforththeir hostby number,He callsthem allby name;Becauseof the greatnessof His mightand the strengthof [His] power,Not one[of them] is missing.
Thusyou shall sayto them, "The godsthat did not makethe heavensand the earthwill perishfrom the earthand from underthe heavens."
The portionof Jacobis not like these;For the Makerof allis He, And Israelis the tribeof His inheritance;The LORDof hostsis His name.
All thingscameinto beingthroughHim, and apartfrom Him nothingcame into being that has come into being.
and saying,"Men,whyare you doingthese things?We are alsomenof the same natureas you, and preach the gospelto you that you should turnfrom thesevain thingsto a livingGod,WHOMADETHE HEAVENAND THE EARTHAND THE SEAAND ALLTHAT IS IN THEM.
"The Godwho madethe worldand all thingsin it, since He is Lordof heavenand earth,does not dwellin templesmade with hands;
(as it is written,"A FATHEROF MANYNATIONSHAVE I MADEYOU") in the presenceof Him whomhe believed,[even] God,who gives lifeto the deadand callsinto being that which does not exist.
but we speakGod'swisdomin a mystery,the hidden[wisdom] whichGodpredestinedbeforethe agesto our glory;
for it is sanctifiedby meansof the wordof Godand prayer.
in theselastdayshas spokento us in His Son,whomHe appointedheirof all things,throughwhomalsoHe madethe world.
and have tastedthe goodwordof Godand the powersof the ageto come,
For when they maintainthis,it escapes their noticethat by the wordof God[the] heavensexistedlong agoand [the] earthwas formedout of waterand by water,
"Worthyare You, our Lordand our God,to receivegloryand honorand power;for You createdall things,and becauseof Your willthey existed,and were created."
