"For after sevenmoredays,I will sendrainon the earthfortydaysand fortynights;and I will blotout from the faceof the landeverylivingthingthat I have made."
Now noshrubof the fieldwas yetin the earth,and noplantof the fieldhad yetsprouted,for the LORDGodhad not sentrainupon the earth,and there was nomanto cultivatethe ground.
Then Godsaidto Noah,"The endof allfleshhas comebeforeMe; for the earthis filledwith violencebecauseof them; and behold,I am about to destroythem with the earth.
"Behold,I, even I am bringingthe floodof waterupon the earth,to destroyallfleshin whichis the breathof life,from underheaven;everythingthat is on the earthshall perish.
Then the LORDsaid,"My Spiritshall not strivewith manforever,becausehe alsois flesh;nevertheless his daysshall be one hundredand twentyyears."
The LORDsaid,"I will blotout manwhomI have createdfrom the faceof the land,from manto animalsto creepingthingsand to birdsof the sky;for I amsorrythat I have madethem."

The rainfellupon the earthfor fortydaysand fortynights.
Then the floodcameupon the earthfor fortydays,and the waterincreasedand liftedup the ark,so that it roseabovethe earth.
alsoof the birdsof the sky,by sevens,maleand female,to keepoffspringaliveon the faceof allthe earth.
So he waitedyetanothersevendays;and againhe sentout the dovefrom the ark.
Then he waitedyetanothersevendays,and sentout the dove;but she did not returnto him again.
Also the fountainsof the deepand the floodgatesof the skywere closed,and the rainfrom the skywas restrained;
Whowere snatchedawaybefore their time,Whose foundationswere washedawayby a river?
"When He impartedweightto the windAnd metedout the watersby measure,
May they be blottedout of the bookof lifeAnd may they not be recordedwith the righteous.
"Thereforethussaysthe LORD,Behold,I am about to removeyou from the faceof the earth.This yearyou are going to die,becauseyou have counseledrebellionagainstthe LORD.'"
