Then Godsaidto Noah,"The endof allfleshhas comebeforeMe; for the earthis filledwith violencebecauseof them; and behold,I am about to destroythem with the earth.
The endof all thingsis near;therefore,be of sound judgmentand sober[spirit] for the purpose of prayer.
He said,"Whatdo you see,Amos?"And I said,"A basketof summerfruit."Then the LORDsaidto me, "The endhas comefor My peopleIsrael.I will sparethem nolonger.
Thus He blottedout everylivingthingthat was upon the faceof the land,from manto animalsto creepingthingsand to birdsof the sky,and they were blottedout from the earth;and onlyNoahwas left,together with those that were with him in the ark.
The Nephilimwere on the earthin thosedays,and alsoafterward,whenthe sonsof Godcamein to the daughtersof men,and they bore[children] to them. Thosewere the mightymenwho[were] of old,menof renown.
By faithNoah,being warned[by God] aboutthings not yetseen,in reverencepreparedan arkfor the salvationof his household,by whichhe condemnedthe world,and becamean heirof the righteousnesswhich is accordingto faith.
O you who dwellby manywaters,Abundantin treasures,Your endhas come,The measureof your end.
"Simeonand Leviare brothers;Their swordsare implementsof violence.
"Makefor yourself an arkof gopherwood;you shall makethe arkwith rooms,and shall coverit insideand out with pitch.
"For after sevenmoredays,I will sendrainon the earthfortydaysand fortynights;and I will blotout from the faceof the landeverylivingthingthat I have made."
Allfleshthat movedon the earthperished,birdsand cattleand beastsand everyswarmingthingthat swarmsupon the earth,and allmankind;
The LORDsmelledthe soothingaroma;and the LORDsaidto Himself,"I will neveragaincursethe groundon accountof man,for the intentof man'sheartis evilfrom his youth;and I will neveragaindestroyeverylivingthing,as I have done.
Drawnear,O nations,to hear;and listen,O peoples!Let the earthand all it containshear,and the worldand allthat springsfrom it.
Surelythe LordGODdoesnothingUnlessHe revealsHis secretcounselTo His servantsthe prophets.
