Now he calledhis nameNoah,saying,"Thisonewill giveus restfrom our workand from the toilof our hands[arising] from the groundwhichthe LORDhas cursed."
Lamechlivedone hundredand eighty-twoyears,and becamethe fatherof a son.
Then Lamechlivedfivehundredand ninety-fiveyearsafterhe becamethe fatherof Noah,and he had[other] sonsand daughters.
Thus He blottedout everylivingthingthat was upon the faceof the land,from manto animalsto creepingthingsand to birdsof the sky,and they were blottedout from the earth;and onlyNoahwas left,together with those that were with him in the ark.
When Noahawokefrom his wine,he knewwhathis youngestsonhad doneto him.
"For thisis like the daysof Noahto Me, WhenI sworethat the watersof NoahWould not floodthe earthagain;SoI have swornthat I will not be angrywith you Norwill I rebukeyou.
even [though] thesethreemen,Noah,Danieland Jobwere in its midst,by their [own] righteousnessthey could [only] deliverthemselves,"declaresthe LordGOD.
even [though] Noah,Danieland Jobwere in its midst,as I live,"declaresthe LordGOD,"they could not delivereither[their] sonor[their] daughter.They would deliveronly themselvesby their righteousness."
"For the comingof the Sonof Manwill be just likethe daysof Noah.
the son of Cainan,the son of Arphaxad,the son of Shem,the son of Noah,the son of Lamech,
For the creationwas subjectedto futility,not willingly,but becauseof Him who subjectedit, in hope
By faithNoah,being warned[by God] aboutthings not yetseen,in reverencepreparedan arkfor the salvationof his household,by whichhe condemnedthe world,and becamean heirof the righteousnesswhich is accordingto faith.
who oncewere disobedient,whenthe patienceof Godkept waitingin the daysof Noah,during the constructionof the ark,in whicha few,that is, eightpersons,were brought safelythrough[the] water.
and did not sparethe ancientworld,but preservedNoah,a preacherof righteousness,with seven others,when He broughta floodupon the worldof the ungodly;
