So they broughttheir livestockto Joseph,and Josephgavethem foodin exchange for the horsesand the flocksand the herdsand the donkeys;and he fedthem with foodin exchange for alltheir livestockthat year.
Then Josephsaid,"Giveup your livestock,and I will giveyou [food] for your livestock,since[your] moneyis gone."
When that yearwas ended,they cameto him the nextyearand saidto him, "We will not hidefrom my lordthat our moneyis allspent,and the cattleare my lord's.There is nothingleftfor my lordexceptour bodiesand our lands.
Also Solomon'simportof horseswas from Egyptand Kue,[and] the king'smerchantsprocured[them] from Kuefor a price.
Satanansweredthe LORDand said,"Skinfor skin!Yes, allthat a manhas he will givefor his life.
behold,the handof the LORDwill come[with] a veryseverepestilenceon your livestockwhichare in the field,on the horses,on the donkeys,on the camels,on the herds,and on the flocks.
Woeto those who godownto Egyptfor help[And] relyon horses,And trustin chariotsbecausethey are manyAnd in horsemenbecausethey are verystrong,But they do not lookto the HolyOneof Israel,norseekthe LORD!
"No onecanservetwomasters;for eitherhe will hatethe oneand lovethe other,orhe will be devotedto oneand despisethe other.You cannotserveGodand wealth.
