"Nowdo not be grievedor angrywith yourselves,becauseyou soldme here,for Godsentme beforeyou to preservelife.
Then someMidianitetraderspassedby, so they pulled[him] up and liftedJosephout of the pit,and soldhim to the Ishmaelitesfor twenty[shekels] of silver.Thus they broughtJosephinto Egypt.
So they said,"You have savedour lives!Let us findfavorin the sightof my lord,and we will be Pharaoh'sslaves."
But Josephsaidto them, "Do not be afraid,for am I in God'splace?
"As for you, you meantevilagainstme, [but] Godmeantit for goodin orderto bringaboutthispresentresult, to preservemanypeoplealive.
"Sotherefore, do not be afraid;I will providefor you and your littleones."So he comfortedthem and spokekindlyto them.
Indeedyou didit secretly,but I will dothisthingbeforeallIsrael,and underthe sun.'"
Then Absalomand allthe menof Israelsaid,"The counselof Hushaithe Architeis betterthanthe counselof Ahithophel."For the LORDhad ordainedto thwartthe goodcounselof Ahithophel,sothat the LORDmight bringcalamityon Absalom.
"For ifyou remainsilentat thistime,reliefand deliverancewill arisefor the Jewsfrom anotherplaceand you and your father'shousewill perish.And whoknowswhetheryou have not attainedroyaltyfor such a timeas this?"
He said,"NakedI camefrom my mother'swomb,And nakedI shall returnthere.The LORDgaveand the LORDhas takenaway. Blessedbe the nameof the LORD."
But Jesuswas saying,"Father,forgivethem; for they do not knowwhatthey are doing."And they castlots,dividingup His garmentsamongthemselves.
sothat noadvantage would be takenof us by Satan,for we are not ignorantof his schemes.
sothat on the contraryyou should ratherforgiveand comfort[him], otherwisesuch a onemight be overwhelmedby excessivesorrow.
For perhapshe was for thisreasonseparated[from you] for a while,that you would have him backforever,
Then they aroseearlyin the morningand worshipedbeforethe LORD,and returnedagainto their housein Ramah.And Elkanahhadrelationswith Hannahhis wife,and the LORDrememberedher.
