They did not know,however, that Josephunderstood,for there was an interpreterbetweenthem.
and may GodAlmightygrantyou compassionin the sightof the man,so that he will releaseto you your otherbrotherand Benjamin.And as for me, ifI am bereavedof my children,I am bereaved."
He said,"Be at ease,do not be afraid.Your Godand the Godof your fatherhas givenyou treasurein your sacks;I hadyour money."Then he broughtSimeonout to them.
Josephhurried[out] for he was deeplystirredoverhis brother,and he sought[a place] to weep;and he enteredhis chamberand weptthere.
Then Josephcouldnot controlhimself before allthose who stoodby him, and he cried,"Have everyonegoout from me." So there was nomanwith him when Josephmadehimself knownto his brothers.
He weptso loudlythat the Egyptiansheard[it], and the householdof Pharaohheard[of it].
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
WhenHe approached[Jerusalem], He sawthe cityand weptoverit,
Rejoicewith those who rejoice,and weepwith those who weep.
And ifonemembersuffers,allthe memberssufferwith it; if[one] memberis honored,allthe membersrejoicewith it.
For we do not havea high priestwhocannotsympathizewith our weaknesses,but One whohas been temptedin all thingsas [we are, yet] withoutsin.
