ifyou are honestmen,let oneof your brothersbe confinedin your prison;but as for [the rest of] you, go,carrygrainfor the famineof your households,
So he putthem in confinementin the houseof the captainof the bodyguard,in the jail,the [same] placewhereJosephwas imprisoned.
When the faminewas [spread] overallthe faceof the earth,then Josephopenedallthe storehouses,and soldto the Egyptians;and the faminewas severein the landof Egypt.
"We are allsonsof oneman;we are honestmen,your servantsare not spies."
Now Josephsaidto them on the thirdday,"Dothisand live,for I fearGod:
and bringyour youngestbrotherto me, so your wordsmay be verified,and you will not die."And they didso.
So they loadedtheir donkeyswith their grainand departedfrom there.
"The man,the lordof the land,saidto us, 'By thisI will knowthat you are honestmen:leaveoneof your brotherswith me and take[grain for] the famineof your households,and go.
To his fatherhe sentas follows:tendonkeysloadedwith the bestthingsof Egypt,and tenfemaledonkeysloadedwith grainand breadand sustenancefor his fatheron the journey.
But thisis a peopleplunderedand despoiled;Allof them are trappedin caves,Or are hiddenaway in prisons;They have becomea preywith noneto deliver[them], And a spoil,with noneto say,"Give[them] back!"
To openblindeyes,To bringout prisonersfrom the dungeonAnd those who dwellin darknessfrom the prison.
Then the officialswere angryat Jeremiahand beathim, and they puthim in jailin the houseof Jonathanthe scribe,which they had madeinto the prison.
