Then it cameabout afterthesethings,the cupbearerand the bakerfor the kingof Egyptoffendedtheir lord,the kingof Egypt.
"Now Pharaoh'scupwas in my hand;so I tookthe grapesand squeezedthem into Pharaoh'scup,and I putthe cupinto Pharaoh'shand."
within threemoredaysPharaohwill liftup your headand restoreyou to your office;and you will putPharaoh'scupinto his handaccording to your formercustomwhenyou were his cupbearer.
When the chiefbakersawthat he had interpretedfavorably,he saidto Joseph,"I also[saw] in my dream,and behold,[there were] threebasketsof whitebreadon my head;
Pharaohwas furiouswith his twoofficials,the chiefcupbearerand the chiefbaker.
Then the cupbearerand the bakerfor the kingof Egypt,whowere confinedin jail,bothhada dreamthe samenight,eachmanwith his [own] dream[and] eachdreamwith its [own] interpretation.
Then the chiefcupbearerspoketo Pharaoh,saying,"I would make mentiontodayof my [own] offenses.
"OLord,I beseechYou, may Your earbe attentiveto the prayerof Your servantand the prayerof Your servantswho delightto revereYour name,and makeYour servantsuccessfultodayand granthim compassionbeforethisman."Now I was the cupbearerto the king.
During that nightthe kingcouldnot sleepso he gavean orderto bringthe bookof records,the chronicles,and they were readbeforethe king.
