Alsoto Shem,the fatherof allthe childrenof Eber,[and] the olderbrotherof Japheth,children were born.
Then a fugitivecameand toldAbramthe Hebrew.Now he was livingby the oaksof Mamrethe Amorite,brotherof Eshcoland brotherof Aner,and thesewere allieswith Abram.
When she sawthat he had lefthis garmentin her handand had fledoutside,
"When he heardthat I raisedmy voiceand screamed,he lefthis garmentbesideme and fledand wentoutside."
Then she spoketo him with thesewords,"The Hebrewslave,whomyou broughtto us, camein to me to makesportof me;
It cameabout aftertheseeventsthat his master'swifelookedwith desireat Joseph,and she said,"Liewith me."
"For I was in factkidnappedfrom the landof the Hebrews,and evenhereI have donenothingthat they should have putme into the dungeon."
Whatshall be givento you, and whatmoreshall be doneto you, You deceitfultongue?
Maliciouswitnessesriseup; They askme of things that I do not know.
Becauseof the voiceof the enemy,Becauseof the pressureof the wicked;For they bringdowntroubleupon me And in angerthey beara grudgeagainstme.
He who concealshatred[has] lyinglips,And he who spreadsslanderis a fool.
"Listento Me, you who knowrighteousness,A peoplein whose heartis My law;Do not fearthe reproachof man,Norbe dismayedat their revilings.
"Noweaponthat is formedagainstyou will prosper;And everytonguethat accusesyou in judgmentyou will condemn.Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,And their vindicationis from Me," declaresthe LORD.
"Those whoare nearand those whoare farfrom you will mockyou, you of illrepute,fullof turmoil.
Nowthe chief priestsand the wholeCouncilkept trying to obtainfalse testimonyagainstJesus,sothat they might put Him to death.
"Blessedare you when[people] insultyou and persecuteyou, and falselysayall kindsof evilagainstyou becauseof Me.
And they beganto accuseHim, saying,"We foundthis manmisleadingour nationand forbiddingto paytaxesto Caesar,and sayingthat He Himselfis Christ,a King."
by gloryand dishonor,by evil reportand good report;[regarded] as deceiversand yet true;
For whatcreditis there if,when you sinand are harshly treated,you endureit with patience?But ifwhen you do what is rightand suffer[for it] you patiently endureit, this[finds] favorwith God.
