"Thisstone,whichI have setup as a pillar,will be God'shouse,and of allthat You giveme I will surelygivea tenthto You."
Then he proceededfrom thereto the mountainon the eastof Bethel,and pitchedhis tent,with Bethelon the westand Aion the east;and therehe builtan altarto the LORDand calledupon the nameof the LORD.
And blessedbe GodMostHigh,Whohas deliveredyour enemiesinto your hand."He gavehim a tenthof all.
[Abraham] planteda tamarisktreeat Beersheba,and therehe calledon the nameof the LORD,the EverlastingGod.

Then he erectedtherean altarand calledit El-Elohe-Israel.
Then Godsaidto Jacob,"Arise,goup to Betheland livethere,and makean altarthereto God,who appearedto you when you fledfrom your brotherEsau."
He builtan altarthere,and calledthe placeEl-bethel,becausethereGodhad revealedHimself to him when he fledfrom his brother.
"At the harvestyou shall givea fifthto Pharaoh,and four-fifthsshall be your own for seedof the fieldand for your foodand for those of your householdsand as foodfor your littleones."
Josephmadeit a statuteconcerningthe landof Egypt[valid] to thisday,that Pharaohshould have the fifth;onlythe landof the priestsdid not becomePharaoh's.
