He was afraidand said,"Howawesomeis thisplace!Thisis noneotherthanthe houseof God,and thisis the gateof heaven."
So Jacobroseearlyin the morning,and tookthe stonethat he had putunder his headand setit up as a pillarand pouredoilon its top.
"Thisstone,whichI have setup as a pillar,will be God'shouse,and of allthat You giveme I will surelygivea tenthto You."
so that the priestscouldnot standto ministerbecauseof the cloud,for the gloryof the LORDfilledthe houseof God.
O God,[You are] awesomefrom Your sanctuary.The Godof IsraelHimselfgivesstrengthand powerto the people.Blessedbe God!
Then He said,"Do not comenearhere;removeyour sandalsfrom your feet,for the placeon whichyou are standingis holyground."
He saidalso, "I am the Godof your father,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob."Then Moseshidhis face,for he was afraidto lookat God.
Guardyour stepsas you goto the houseof Godand drawnearto listenratherthanto offerthe sacrificeof fools;for they do not knowthey are doingevil.
When the disciplesheard[this], they fellfacedown to the ground and were terrified.
And an angelof the Lordsuddenly stood beforethem, and the gloryof the Lordshone aroundthem; and they were terriblyfrightened.
[The people] wentout to seewhat had happened;and they cameto Jesus,and foundthe manfrom whomthe demonshad goneout, sitting downat the feetof Jesus,clothedand in his right mind;and they became frightened.
but in caseI am delayed,[I write] sothat you will knowhowone oughtto conducthimself in the householdof God,whichis the churchof the livingGod,the pillarand supportof the truth.
and since [we have] a greatpriestoverthe houseof God,
For [it is] timefor judgmentto beginwith the householdof God;and if[it] [begins] with us first,what[will be] the outcomefor thosewho do not obeythe gospelof God?
WhenI sawHim, I fellat His feetlikea dead man.And He placedHis right handon me, saying,"Do not be afraid;I amthe firstand the last,
So Manoahsaidto his wife,"We will surelydie,for we have seenGod."
