Alsothe goldand silverutensilsof the houseof GodwhichNebuchadnezzarhad takenfrom the templein Jerusalem,and broughtthem to the templeof Babylon,theseKingCyrustookfrom the templeof Babylonand they were givento one whose namewas Sheshbazzar,whomhe had appointedgovernor.
Allthe articlesof the houseof God,greatand small,and the treasuresof the houseof the LORD,and the treasuresof the kingand of his officers,he brought[them] allto Babylon.
Nebuchadnezzaralso brought[some] of the articlesof the houseof the LORDto Babylonand putthem in his templeat Babylon.
He saidto him, "Taketheseutensils,go[and] depositthem in the templein Jerusalemand let the houseof Godbe rebuiltin its place."
Thenthat Sheshbazzarcame[and] laidthe foundationsof the houseof Godin Jerusalem;and from thenuntilnowit has been underconstructionand it is not [yet] completed.'
Alsolet the goldand silverutensilsof the houseof God,whichNebuchadnezzartookfrom the templein Jerusalemand broughtto Babylon,be returnedand broughtto their placesin the templein Jerusalem;and you shall put[them] in the houseof God.'
Blessedbe the LORD,the Godof our fathers,whohas put[such a thing] as thisin the king'sheart,to adornthe houseof the LORDwhichis in Jerusalem,
The king'sheartis [like] channelsof waterin the handof the LORD;He turnsit whereverHe wishes.
The captainof the guardalso tookaway the bowls,the firepans,the basins,the pots,the lampstands,the pansand the drinkofferingbowls,whatwas finegoldand whatwas finesilver.
In the secondyearof Dariusthe king,on the firstdayof the sixthmonth,the wordof the LORDcameby the prophetHaggaito Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,governorof Judah,and to Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,saying,
So the LORDstirredup the spiritof Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,governorof Judah,and the spiritof Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,and the spiritof allthe remnantof the people;and they cameand workedon the houseof the LORDof hosts,their God,
"Speaknowto Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,governorof Judah,and to Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,and to the remnantof the peoplesaying,
"Speakto Zerubbabelgovernorof Judah,saying,I am going to shakethe heavensand the earth.
Thenthe proconsulbelievedwhen he sawwhat had happened,being amazedat the teachingof the Lord.
