For they [were] in threestories and hadnopillarslike the pillarsof the courts;therefore[the upper chambers] were setbackfrom the groundupward, morethanthe lowerand middleones.
The doorwayfor the lowestsidechamber[was] on the rightsideof the house;and they would goup by windingstairsto the middle[story], and from the middleto the third.
The sidechamberswere in threestories, oneaboveanother,and thirtyin eachstory;and the side chambersextendedto the wallwhich[stood] on their inwardsideallaround,that they might be fastened,and not be fastenedinto the wallof the temple[itself].
Now the upperchambers[were] smallerbecausethe galleriestookmore[space] awayfrom them thanfrom the lowerand middleonesin the building.
