Then he tookthe testimonyand put[it] into the ark,and attachedthe polesto the ark,and putthe mercyseaton topof the ark.
Therewas nothingin the arkexceptthe twotabletsof stonewhichMosesputthereat Horeb,wherethe LORDmadea covenant with the sonsof Israel,when they cameout of the landof Egypt.
And DavidassembledallIsraelat Jerusalemto bringup the arkof the LORDto its placewhichhe had preparedfor it.

I delightto doYour will,O my God;Your Lawis withinmy heart."
As the LORDcommandedMoses,so Aaronplacedit beforethe Testimony,to be kept.
"You shall putthe mercyseaton the arkof the testimonyin the holyof holies.
When He had finishedspeakingwith him upon MountSinai,He gaveMosesthe twotabletsof the testimony,tabletsof stone,writtenby the fingerof God.
He spreadthe tentoverthe tabernacleand putthe coveringof the tenton topof it, justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
"You shall placethe arkof the testimonythere,and you shall screenthe arkwith the veil.
But Jesusansweringsaidto him, "Permit[it] at this time;for in this wayit is fittingfor us to fulfillallrighteousness."Thenhe permittedHim.
For Christis the endof the lawfor righteousnessto everyonewho believes.
whomGoddisplayed publiclyas a propitiationin His bloodthroughfaith.[This was] to demonstrateHis righteousness,becausein the forbearanceof GodHe passed overthe sinspreviously committed;
"Then I turnedand camedownfrom the mountainand putthe tabletsin the arkwhichI had made;and therethey are, as the LORDcommandedme."
Thereforelet us draw nearwith confidenceto the throneof grace,sothat we may receivemercyand findgraceto helpin time of need.
havinga goldenaltar of incenseand the arkof the covenantcoveredon all sideswith gold,in whichwas a goldenjarholdingthe manna,and Aaron'srodwhich budded,and the tablesof the covenant;
and He Himselfis the propitiationfor our sins;and not for oursonly,but alsofor [those of] the wholeworld.
