Now the LORDsaidto Aaron,"Goto meetMosesin the wilderness."So he wentand methim at the mountainof Godand kissedhim.
Then JacobkissedRachel,and liftedhis voiceand wept.
So he aroseand ateand drank,and wentin the strengthof that foodfortydaysand fortynightsto Horeb,the mountainof God.
He sentMosesHis servant,[And] Aaron,whomHe had chosen.
Then Jethro,Moses'father-in-law,camewith his sonsand his wifeto Mosesin the wildernesswherehe was camped,at the mountof God.
Then Moseswentout to meethis father-in-law,and he boweddownand kissedhim; and they askedeachotherof their welfareand wentinto the tent.
Moseswentup to God,and the LORDcalledto him from the mountain,saying,"Thusyou shall sayto the houseof Jacoband tellthe sonsof Israel:
Allthe peopleperceivedthe thunderand the lightningflashesand the soundof the trumpetand the mountainsmoking;and when the peoplesaw[it], they trembledand stoodat a distance.
So Mosesarosewith Joshuahis servant,and Moseswentup to the mountainof God.
Now Moseswas pasturingthe flockof Jethrohis father-in-law,the priestof Midian;and he ledthe flockto the westsideof the wildernessand cameto Horeb,the mountainof God.
So He lethim alone.At that timeshe said,"[You are] a bridegroomof blood"--because of the circumcision.
Twoare betterthanonebecausethey havea goodreturnfor their labor.
"But getup, go downstairsand accompanythem withoutmisgivings,for I have sentthem Myself."
