But they did not listento Moses,and someleftpart of it untilmorning,and it bredwormsand becamefoul;and Moseswas angrywith them.
Mosessaidto them, "Let nomanleaveanyof it untilmorning."
They gatheredit morningby morning,everymanas muchas he should eat;but when the sungrewhot,it would melt.
So they putit asideuntilmorning,as Moseshad ordered,and it did not becomefoulnorwas there any wormin it.
(Now the manMoseswas veryhumble,morethananymanwhowas on the faceof the earth.)
Then Mosesbecameveryangryand saidto the LORD,"Do not regardtheir offering!I have not takena singledonkeyfrom them, norhave I doneharmto anyof them."
"Do not storeup for yourselvestreasureson earth,wheremothand rustdestroy,and wherethievesbreakin and steal.
But when Jesussawthis, He was indignantand saidto them, "Permitthe childrento cometo Me; do not hinderthem; for the kingdomof Godbelongsto such as these.
After looking aroundat them with anger,grievedat their hardnessof heart,He saidto the man,"Stretchout your hand."And he stretchedit out, and his handwas restored.
ThenHe saidto them, "Beware,and be on your guardagainstevery formof greed;for not [even] whenonehas an abundancedoes his lifeconsistof his possessions."
"Sellyour possessionsand giveto charity;makeyourselvesmoney beltswhich do not wearout, an unfailingtreasurein heaven,wherenothiefcomes nearnormothdestroys.
BE ANGRY,AND [yet] DO NOT SIN;do not let the sungo downon your anger,
[Make sure that] your characteris free from the love of money,being contentwith what you have;for He Himselfhas said,"I WILL NEVERDESERTYOU, NORWILL I EVERFORSAKEYOU,"
