It is vainfor you to riseup early,To retirelate,To eatthe breadof painfullabors;For He givesto His beloved[even in his] sleep.
A worker'sappetiteworksfor him, For his hungerurgeshim [on].
Whatadvantagedoes manhave in allhis workWhichhe doesunderthe sun?
Thus I consideredallmy activitieswhichmy handshad doneand the laborwhichI had exerted,and beholdallwas vanityand strivingafter windand therewas noprofitunderthe sun.
Whatprofitis there to the workerfrom that in whichhe toils?
One handfullof restis betterthantwo fistsfullof laborand strivingafter wind.
Therewas a certainmanwithouta dependent,havingneithera sonnora brother,yet therewas noendto allhis labor.Indeed,his eyeswere not satisfiedwith riches[and he never asked], "And for whomam I laboringand deprivingmyselfof pleasure?"Thistoois vanityand it is a grievoustask.
Throughouthis life[he] alsoeatsin darknesswith greatvexation,sicknessand anger.
So I commendedpleasure,for thereis nothinggoodfor a manunderthe sunexceptto eatand to drinkand to be merry,and thiswill standby him in his toils[throughout] the daysof his lifewhichGodhas givenhim underthe sun.
"For whatwill it profita manifhe gainsthe wholeworldand forfeitshis soul?Orwhatwill a mangivein exchangefor his soul?
Giveus this dayour dailybread.
"For thisreasonI sayto you, do not be worriedaboutyour life,[as to] whatyou will eatorwhatyou will drink;norfor your body,[as to] whatyou will puton. Is not lifemorethan food,and the bodymorethan clothing?
"Sodo not worryabouttomorrow;for tomorrowwill carefor itself.Each dayhas enoughtroubleof its own.
And He saidto His disciples,"For thisreasonI sayto you, do not worryabout[your] life,[as to] whatyou will eat;norfor your body,[as to] whatyou will puton.
"And do not seekwhatyou will eatand whatyou will drink,and do not keep worrying.
that you alsobe in subjectionto such menand to everyonewho helps in the workand labors.
Be anxiousfor nothing,but in everythingby prayerand supplicationwith thanksgivinglet your requestsbe made knownto God.
If we havefoodand covering,with thesewe shall be content.
castingallyour anxietyon Him, becauseHe caresfor you.
