Then MosessummonedallIsraeland saidto them: "Hear,O Israel,the statutesand the ordinanceswhichI am speakingtodayin your hearing,that you may learnthem and observethem carefully.
That they should puttheir confidencein GodAnd not forgetthe worksof God,But keepHis commandments,
And He said,"Ifyou will giveearnestheedto the voiceof the LORDyour God,and dowhat is rightin His sight,and giveearto His commandments,and keepallHis statutes,I will putnoneof the diseaseson you whichI have puton the Egyptians;for I, the LORD,am your healer."
then teachthem the statutesand the laws,and makeknownto them the wayin which they are to walkand the workthey are to do.
thereforeallthat they tellyou, doand observe,but do not doaccordingto their deeds;for they say[things] and do not do[them].
Theseare the wordswhichMosesspoketo allIsraelacrossthe Jordanin the wilderness,in the ArabahoppositeSuph,betweenParanand Topheland Labanand Hazerothand Dizahab.
"You shall therefore lovethe LORDyour God,and alwayskeepHis charge,His statutes,His ordinances,and His commandments.
"Theseare the statutesand the judgmentswhichyou shall carefullyobservein the landwhichthe LORD,the Godof your fathers,has givenyou to possessas longas you liveon the earth.
"It shall be with him and he shall readit allthe daysof his life,that he may learnto fearthe LORDhis God,by carefullyobservingallthe wordsof thislawand thesestatutes,
"But it shall comeabout, ifyou do not obeythe LORDyour God,to observeto doallHis commandmentsand His statuteswith whichI chargeyou today,that allthesecurseswill comeupon you and overtakeyou:
"You standtoday,allof you, beforethe LORDyour God:your chiefs,your tribes,your eldersand your officers,[even] allthe menof Israel,
And MosessummonedallIsraeland saidto them, "You have seenallthat the LORDdidbefore your eyesin the landof Egyptto Pharaohand allhis servantsand allhis land;
"Now,O Israel,listento the statutesand the judgmentswhichI am teachingyou to perform,sothat you may liveand goin and takepossessionof the landwhichthe LORD,the Godof your fathers,is givingyou.
with allthe Arabahacrossthe Jordanto the east,even as faras the seaof the Arabah,at the footof the slopesof Pisgah.
"See,I have taughtyou statutesand judgmentsjustas the LORDmy Godcommandedme, that you should dothusin the landwhereyou are enteringto possessit.
"The LORDour Godmadea covenantwith us at Horeb.
"You should diligentlykeepthe commandmentsof the LORDyour God,and His testimoniesand His statuteswhichHe has commandedyou.
"Thisbookof the lawshall not departfrom your mouth,but you shall meditateon it dayand night,sothat you may be carefulto doaccording to allthat is writtenin it; for thenyou will makeyour wayprosperous,and thenyou will havesuccess.
