"So innocentbloodwill not be shedin the midstof your landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou as an inheritance,and bloodguiltinessbe on you.
"You shall preparethe roadsfor yourself, and divideinto threepartsthe territoryof your landwhichthe LORDyour Godwill giveyou as a possession,so that anymanslayermay fleethere.
"Onlyin the citiesof thesepeoplesthat the LORDyour Godis givingyou as an inheritance,you shall not leavealiveanythingthat breathes.
his corpseshall not hangall nighton the tree,but you shall surelyburyhim on the sameday(for he who is hangedis accursedof God),so that you do not defileyour landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou as an inheritance.
[then] her formerhusbandwhosenther awayis not allowedto takeher againto be his wife,sinceshe has been defiled;for that is an abominationbeforethe LORD,and you shall not bringsinon the landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou as an inheritance.

"But the LORDwas angrywith me on your account,and would not listento me; and the LORDsaidto me, 'Enough!Speakto Me nomoreof thismatter.
And he saidto them, "I am a hundredand twentyyearsoldtoday;I am nolongerableto comeand go,and the LORDhas saidto me, 'You shall not crossthisJordan.'
