"The statutesand the ordinancesand the lawand the commandmentwhichHe wrotefor you, you shall observeto doforever;and you shall not fearothergods.
The kingwentup to the houseof the LORDand allthe menof Judahand allthe inhabitantsof Jerusalemwith him, and the priestsand the prophetsand allthe people,bothsmalland great;and he readin their hearingallthe wordsof the bookof the covenantwhich was foundin the houseof the LORD.
Then on the seconddaythe headsof fathers'[households] of allthe people,the priestsand the Leviteswere gatheredto Ezrathe scribethat they might gaininsightinto the wordsof the law.
He readfrom the bookof the lawof Goddaily,from the firstdayto the lastday.And they celebratedthe feastsevendays,and on the eighthday[there was] a solemnassemblyaccording to the ordinance.
While they stoodin their place,they readfrom the bookof the lawof the LORDtheir Godfor a fourthof the day;and for [another] fourththey confessedand worshipedthe LORDtheir God.
They gofrom strengthto strength,[Every one of them] appearsbeforeGodin Zion.
"For I will driveout nationsbeforeyou and enlargeyour borders,and nomanshall covetyour landwhen you goup threetimesa yearto appearbeforethe LORDyour God.
Afterthe readingof the Lawand the Prophetsthe synagogue officialssentto them, saying,"Brethren,ifyou have anywordof exhortationfor the people,sayit."
"For Mosesfrom ancientgenerationshasin everycitythosewho preachhim, since he is readin the synagogueseverySabbath."
then it shall comeabout that the placein whichthe LORDyour Godwill choosefor His nameto dwell,thereyou shall bringallthat I commandyou: your burntofferingsand your sacrifices,your tithesand the contributionof your hand,and allyour choicevotiveofferingswhichyou will vowto the LORD.
but in the placewhichthe LORDchoosesin oneof your tribes,thereyou shall offeryour burntofferings,and thereyou shall doallthat I commandyou.
"But you shall seek[the LORD] at the placewhichthe LORDyour Godwill choosefrom allyour tribes,to establishHis nametherefor His dwelling,and thereyou shall come.
