But they rebelledAnd grievedHis HolySpirit;Therefore He turnedHimself to become their enemy,He foughtagainst them.
In the morning,however, they roseup earlyand wentup to the ridgeof the hillcountry,saying,"Herewe are; we have indeedsinned,but we will goup to the placewhichthe LORDhas promised."
But they wentup heedlesslyto the ridgeof the hillcountry;neitherthe arkof the covenantof the LORDnorMosesleftthe camp.
But the personwhodoes[anything] defiantly,whetherhe is nativeor an alien,that oneis blasphemingthe LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
"You men who are stiff-neckedand uncircumcisedin heartand earsare alwaysresistingthe HolySpirit;you are doing justas your fathersdid.
"Yet you were not willingto goup, but rebelledagainstthe commandof the LORDyour God;
"The manwhoactspresumptuouslyby not listeningto the priestwho standsthereto servethe LORDyour God,norto the judge,that manshall die;thus you shall purgethe evilfrom Israel.
