Thenthesemenwere tiedup in their trousers,their coats,their capsand their [other] clothes,and were castinto the midstof the furnaceof blazingfire.
So Joseph'smastertookhim and puthim into the jail,the placewherethe king'sprisonerswere confined;and he was therein the jail.
Becauseof them a cursewill be usedby allthe exilesfrom Judahwhoare in Babylon,saying,"May the LORDmakeyou like Zedekiahand like Ahab,whomthe kingof Babylonroastedin the fire,
He commandedcertainvaliantwarriorswho[were] in his armyto tieup Shadrach,Meshachand Abed-negoin order to cast[them] into the furnaceof blazingfire.
The satraps,the prefects,the governorsand the king'shighofficialsgatheredaround[and] sawin regard to thesementhat the firehadnoeffecton the bodiesof these men norwas the hairof their headsinged,norwere their trousersdamaged,norhad the smellof fire[even] comeupon them.
"But whoeverdoes not falldownand worshipshall immediatelybe castinto the midstof a furnaceof blazingfire."
and will throwthem into the furnaceof fire;in that placethere will be weepingand gnashingof teeth.
