Then the Chaldeansspoketo the kingin Aramaic:"O king,liveforever!Tellthe dreamto your servants,and we will declarethe interpretation."
The kingreplied,"I knowfor certainthat you are bargainingfor time,inasmuchas you have seenthat the commandfrom me is firm,
that ifyou do not makethe dreamknownto me, there is only onedecreefor you. For you have agreedtogetherto speaklyingand corruptwordsbeforeme untilthe situationis changed;thereforetellme the dream,that I may knowthat you can declareto me its interpretation."
